great video! I …
great video! I would never wear a sheep.
Why can’t people …
Why can’t people just realize that animals feel pain just as much as people do?? These idiots don’t have any compassion and they deserve to rot in .
Great video, really informative.
UGH! I HATE UGGS! I …
UGH! I HATE UGGS! I always nag my sister for wearing uggs. Seriouly, every TEN seconds when I’m walking in the halls at my school, I see a pair of uggs. It really es me off.
Me Too !!!
Me Too !!!
Yes, I agree… ( …
Yes, I agree… (however, there is really no such thing as “animal saving freaks” – because there is a reason we are trying to save animals.)
If you would check out my other videos, you’d see I have ones to save all sorts of animals, from chickens to rats to iguanas to bison, and more. There is no animal I do not like. I have even rescued roaches in the past. People don’t have the right to end animals’ lives, just because they are strong enough to. I am vegan.
Are you a vegetarian?
i makes me made …
i makes me made when peta member or animal saving freaks go around saving cuddly animals no snakes or dangerous creatures sound like hypocrite
A substitute for …
A substitute for them would be if UGG used fake leather, called pleather, or some sort of other synthetic material. Pleather is just as warm and it’s very hard to tell the difference in appearance between it and real leather.
Once again, UGGs are not made of fur, although it is equally cruel. They use the skin of sheep.
How about who gives …
How about who gives a care if they are fake or real?! There is always going to be someone who has better/more than you.
It’s about saving animals lives, not looking tacky or not. Besides, it’s just a current trend – which is actually dying out! In 10 years, you will wonder why you spent so much money on shoes are that are cruel to animals and no longer “in fashion.”
Shoes and other clothing don’t make a person.
Your heart and mind do. Think about that please.
Fake fur is just …
Fake fur is just not the same as real fur, you are saying?
First of all, Uggs are made of sheep skin, not fur. Fur comes from animals such as chinchillas, foxes, harp seals, etc.
Each year, more than 2 million dogs and cats are killed for their fur, which is purposely mislabeled in stores as “raccoon dog” fur. So, you never know WHO you could be wearing – a dog or a fox. Nearly 40% of all animals used for fur are skinned while completely alive, blinking, breathing.. who could support that? =/
Excellent video, …
Excellent video, Peepchick! You have covered all of the horrible truths about this poor creature’s miserable existence.
Brilliantly done!
Animals are not ours to wear.
it annoys me how …
it annoys me how some girls who say they are totally vegan and hate animal cruelty walk around our school wearing UGGS just so they can be popular.
i hate those boots with a passion.
Yeah I agree :/
I …
Yeah I agree :/
I wouldn’t wear Uggs anyway, they’re so horrible, but yeah they’re made with cruelty.
Damn farmers breed too many sheep ¬_¬;
Huzzah! I found the …
Huzzah! I found the comment! =]
i’m not saying you …
i’m not saying you did, i just can’t find what i wrote XD;;
Aw, are they too …
Aw, are they too beatiful for you? Im sure you dont feel bad. A real person that feels bad would return the boots.
peepchick101, look …
peepchick101, look at all the comments. People love uggs. lol I guess they are just a bunch of those “OMG I want to be cool like the other girls” people.” And then they make up the excuss, OMG..I had no idea they hurt the animal! XD People are so stupid..
I’m wearing a pair …
I’m wearing a pair right now!
PS: Fake fur- it’s just not the same
Doesn’t take a …
Doesn’t take a genius to know that I do not have a pair of UGGs.. I prefer to support more humane industries. While the sheep may be killed either way, it doesn’t mean UGG has to support the abuse to animals. They could use synthetic materials – they don’t need to use the skin of real sheep. By purchasing the skins, they are paying for the cruelty to continue. Millions of people have those UGG boots and millions of animals are killed for them.
Which comment? I …
Which comment? I didn’t delete any
But the thing is …
But the thing is though, they are going to die anyways. That’s like killing a cow for it’s meat right, well you might as well get everything you can from him! Indians always said “If you must kill an animal, make wise decisions about using it’s flesh”
It means if you’re killing an animal, use it as much as you can. That is what UGG is doing. Let me guess, you don’t have a pair of UGG’s do you?
ok, but what about …
ok, but what about the hspca. ive watched their show many times and many of their cases involve horses. but ok. atleast there are ppl trying to stop this and work with it
Where did my …
Where did my comment go? :/
And just a last …
And just a last note, (not to get picky, but..) the ASPCA does little for horse slaughter victims.. their main focuses are protecting household animals, such as cats, dogs and rabbits. The American Humane Society and the American Horse Defense Fund deal with horse slaughter more often.
The last horse slaughter plants were in Texas and Illinois and the ASPCA works out of New York.
yes, but for any …
yes, but for any laws made…its better them than none at all.
Yes, that’s fine if …
Yes, that’s fine if you do so.. but some of these don’t have anything to do with farmed animals or sheep. Most sheep used for their skin are not previously used in rodeos. More than 30% of the world’s wool/sheep skin supply comes from large farms in Australia, not from United States rodeos. Additionally, only SOME places have banned electric goads – Pittsburgh, PA, the state of California and St. Charles, IL. It is legal in other places to shock animals in the chutes, still.
